End of Black Holes

We know that Blackholes are the final product of a Star’s life-cycle. In this article we discuss on Blackhole’s death which involves Hawking Radiation.

Everyone is aware of the famous Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle, which involves position and momentum. There is another such pair, Energy-Time. We can’t determine both of them simultaneously. So, if an empty Vacuum space is given, we can never say that at a given exact time, Energy is exactly 0 in that space. Hence there are some virtual particle-antiparticle pairs which pops out for a very short time as allowed by the uncertainty principle. This was used by Hawking to show Hawking Radiation, which can cause end of Blackhole.

Suppose one of the particle/ antiparticles, that just popped out near Blackhole’s event Horizon, falls inside and the other escapes. We perceive this escaped particle as Hawking Radiation. To conserve energy, this will reduce Blackhole Energy. This causes end of blackholes.

However, it’s the slowest process ever. Evaporation of blackhole at the centre of Milky way will approximately take 10^87 YEARS!!!
